Blog #3

Pip and Estella have both faced many realizations and ramifications. Pip has to face the realization that he cannot have Estella the way that he wants her. They will always be somewhat friends, but they both have different opinions on where they want their relationship to stand. Pip is madly in love with Estella, and has a large obsession. Once he began to court her, he decided that it was not a good idea. It did not turn out the way that he thought it would. He also did not like the way she treated him. She treated him like dirt. For example, "What do you play, boy?" This is how Estella talks to Pip. She treats h9im like he is more immature and not as powerful as she is. The realization that Estella has to face is that once Pip and herself finally get together, Pip decides it is not the right thing to do, so he ends it with her, leaving her broken hearted. On what I have learned form reading the book, Pip and Estella finally start to, or almost become an official item. Pip finally realizes that he is not in love with Estella when they first begin to become closer, he basically stops trying to be a gentleman. He realizes that he does not like what he has fought for for a large majority of his life. Both Pip and Estella face different realizations, but at the same time, they both tie in together.

Blog 2:PIP

The name Pip perfectly describes the way that he acts, lives, and suits his personality. Pip is a name that should describe a very up close and personal person, and a jumpy person. For example, he is always up for anything. It describes a person that isn't completely out there, but is basically known for being himself by all people. Everybody knows Pip for the way that he acts. The way that Pip lives is in sort of a jumpy way. He is a very "pippy" or adventurous person. He lives on the edge of all reason, and is always living like today is the last day of his life. His personality is very up-beat and extremely outgoing and tries hard all the time. For example, whenever Pip is given the opportunity to do something, or is told to do something for a reason, hes all over it. An example of this is, when Mrs. Joe tells Pip to go over to Miss Havisham's house, he does exactly as he is told. Overall, Pip's name describes him for who he truly is.
